On the morning of October 24th, the first time, a container ship, which is named Pioneer New Port V.1631S, and is nearly 120m in length, contains 610 Teu, can carry up to 7,000 tonnes of Sài Gòn New Port Company’s goods from Hải Phòng, moor at Tân Cảng Cái Cui Port, Cần Thơ city.
Cái Cui New Port Welcomes the First Container Ship.
The total quantity of the 1st shipment is 4,488 tonnes, including 102 Teu imported goods, mainly lime, coal, construction materials and 85 Teu of exported goods, mainly rice and marine products of 19 clients in Cần Thơ, Đồng Tháp, Hậu Giang and Cà Mau.
It’s expected that one shipment of this container ship is sailed through the port every 8 days./.
