The Closing for the 2nd Session of the 9th People’s Council of Cần Thơ City

Continuing the working agenda at the 2nd session of the 9th People’s Council of Cần Thơ city, in the morning of July 22nd, deputies heard leaders of the City People’s Committee explaining questions posed by deputies on socio-economic, defense, security management in the 1st half and tasks for the 2nd half of 2016.

After voting to pass 15 resolutions, Chairman of the City People’s Council delivered the closing speech.

The City People’s Committee mapped out major tasks from now to the end of the year, including intensifying the re- structuring of the economy in the orientation of raising efficiency and competitiveness, continuingly clearing difficulties, supporting and creating favourable conditions for enterprises to develop production, business and boost export, boosting investment- trade promotion and external affairs, accelerating land planning, construction management, environmental protection and new rural building, developing socio-culture, effectively implementing solutions to raise the rate of people’s health insurance coverage.

Delivering the closing speech, Standing Vice Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Council Phạm Văn Hiểu said that deputies showed their responsibility, democracy, straightforwardly discussed to outline proper solutions to complete the plan for 2016./.
