In the morning on July 4th, The National Teenagers’ Tennis Tournament 2016 officially opens at tennis court of Cần Thơ city Sports and Gymnastic Complex.
Participating in the tournament, 256 athletes under 27 clubs of provinces, cities and sectors from Lạng Sơn province to Cà Mau province. The Organizers offer 14 medals, involving male singles, female singles, male doubles and female doubles between 10 and 16 years of age. This is the 1st time that the Tennis Tournament gathers the largest number of athletes in Cần Thơ city. The tournament is in order to promote developing tennis movement, create favorable conditions for young athletes to exchange, enhance competing, and improve professional skills. Through that, it evaluates selecting and training potential athletes of localities and sectors. After opening ceremony, the male and female singles compete by tables to choose excellent athletes into following rounds./.
