Mekong Delta Rice Research Institute to be continuingly built
On June 13th, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc comes to visit and work with Mekong Delta Region Rice Institute.
Past 40 years, the institute researched, created, and produced 165 outstanding rice varieties successfully. In the happening drought and salty intrusion, the institute timely recommends and provides varieties fighting against drought and salty intrusion for coastal provinces and Cà Mau Peninsular. With the urgent requirement of the real situation, the Institute suggests the Government and relevant ministries to invest, create and improve traffic system, irrigation, built experimental field reaching standards to improve quality of research.
On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister appraises and highly values operative effectiveness of leaders, officials, and scientists of the Institute. He hopes them continue renewing management and constructing the Institute comprehensively./.
