Department of Binh Duong Culture, Sport and Tourism in collaboration with King Star Company held an event themed “Welcome New Year 2015 and setting record for the highest Christmas tree in Vietnam”, aiming to welcome Christmas and New Year 2015.
36 meters Christmas tree which was decorated with thousands of colorful led lights and located at Binh Duong’s Thu Dau Mot city, was recognized as the highest Christmas tree in Vietnam, and beat the latest record for 32 meters Christmas tree of Vingroup Company in Hanoi in 2014.
On the occasion, more than 300 people will wear Santa Clause dresses and it is expected to make a new record on the number of people wearing the Christmas dresses in the country. The organization board said this event will continue to beat the record for 200 people wearing the Christmas dresses, held in Dalat city in 2013.
Deputy Chairman of Binh Duong People’s Committee Tran Thanh Liem said that the events are to improve the cultural spiritual life of local people on ahead Christmas season.
SGGP
