Philippine President to make official visit to Vietnam

Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will pay an official visit to Vietnam from September 28-29.

The visit will be made at the invitation of President Tran Dai Quang, the Foreign Ministry announced on September 23.

The two countries set up diplomatic relationship in July 1976.

They elevated their ties to a strategic partnership in November 2015 during the visit to the archipelago country by Vietnam’s then President Truong Tan Sang./.
