Le Hang to compete at Miss Universe 2016
The first runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 Le Hang will be Vietnam’s representative at this year’s Miss Universe pageant.
Earlier, it was rumored that Miss Sea Nguyen Thi Loan, who ranked 25th at the Miss World 2015, will compete in this beauty contest but Loan denied it. Meanwhile, the second-runner up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 Tra My missed the chance as she got married early this year.
Universe Corporation, Hang’s managing firm, which also hold the right to choose representative for the Miss Universe pageant, is fulfilling the procedures to bring Hang to the pageant later this year.
Hang is urgently preparing for the pageant, particularly her English and soft skills.
Along with Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth, Miss Universe is one of the world’s annual largest beauty pageants. Miss Universe 2015 is Pia Wurtzbach, from the Philippines.
Miss Universe 2016 will be held in December in the United States.
The contestants will have to compete in swimsuit, evening gown, traditional costume competition as well as interview rounds and participate in social activities. Unlike Miss World, Miss Universe has no talent show.
Le Hang was born in 1993 in the central city of Danang. As a model, she has a height of 1.73 m and body measurements 81-64-89.
Before ranking third at the Miss Universe Vietnam 2015, she reached the final of the Miss Vietnam Ethnics and the final of Miss Vietnam 2012 and was the winner of Elite Model Look 2014.
