Can Tho to develop Spatial Data Infrastructure

The mekong delta province of Can Tho People’s Committee in coordination with the World Bank and Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO) organized the conference themed “Visions & plan to develop Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) for Can Tho”.

Deputy Chairman of Can Tho People’s Committee Vo Thi Hong Anh said the province expects in next five year it will create breakthrough in the development in hopes of going foward a modern green urban reaching the national, international level.

Mr Luu Dinh Hiep from Ho Chi Minh Polytechnic University said SDI is effective tool to manage the urban meeting with climate change however to carry out this target the province should focus on training high level human resource to be able to approach new technologies..
