Binh Thuan Province’s Phan Thiet City has opened a night market in Phu Thuy Ward, the first night market in the south central province.
Located on Nguyen Phuc Nguyen and Nguyen Gia Tu streets, the market has more than 170 stalls that sell goods such as souvenirs, handicrafts and food between 5pm and 10 pm every day.
The coastal city has many special dishes like banh can (small pancake made from rice powder and eggs), banh hoi (thin rice vermicelli), goi ca Mai (white herring salad) and grilled dong (a kind of lizard living in sand holes).
Besides famous blue beaches with white sand, Phan Thiet has many beautiful landscapes and cultural sites, including 649-metre high Ta Cu Mountain, vast sand dunes, Van Thuy Tu Temple where more than 100 whale skeletons are stored, Phu Quy and Cau islands, and the country’s tallest and oldest lighthouse Ke Ga.
